The short version
JYRadio does not require registration. It does not currently display advertisements or use advertising trackers, and it does not sell personal information.
Information kept on your device
Your theme, favorite and recently played stations, saved and recently explored countries, and cached country preference are stored in your browser's local storage. This information is not attached to a JYRadio account or synchronized between devices.
You can remove it by clearing the site data for JYRadio in your browser.
Approximate country
JYRadio uses the country associated with your internet connection to suggest nearby stations. This is an approximate country-level result derived from your IP address by the hosting network. JYRadio does not request GPS or precise-location permission. The resulting two-letter country code may be cached on your device for up to 24 hours.
Website analytics
The iOS and Android editions contain no analytics or tracking SDKs. The web edition uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregated traffic such as pages viewed, referrers, approximate region, browser, operating system, and device type. Vercel describes this analytics service as anonymous and cookie-free, with no tracking of a visitor between different websites or days.
Hosting and catalog delivery
Vercel hosts the website and Cloudflare delivers the station catalog. Like other internet infrastructure providers, they may process technical request information such as IP address, browser details, timestamps, and security logs to deliver and protect their services.
Radio stations and external services
Station streams, artwork, and external links can be hosted by station operators or other third parties. When your browser loads that content or plays a station, it connects to the relevant provider, which can receive ordinary request information such as your IP address and browser details. Their own privacy practices apply.
